STERLING, VA, April 18, 2021 – ANA•LITK Art Director Sugako Kawai-Cozart celebrated ten years with the company. After starting as a designer in 2011, Sugako’s highly creative expertise has been instrumental in forming the company into what it is today.
“Fast. Really Fast. It’s been a really quick ten years,” Sugako says regarding reaching ten years at ANA•LITK.
When Sugako started in 2011, her role as a Designer was mainly to work on web development projects. However, she quickly learned new design software and began undertaking larger design projects. These projects often varied in size and kind. So Sugako constantly expanded her skill set, eventually becoming an expert in web development, illustration, UI/UX, and graphic design. This wide range of experience supported her as she grew from a Designer to a Senior Designer, then to Art Director.
In her ten years with ANA•LITK, Sugako’s expertise has guided many different types of projects, including the company’s new brand. Her favorite projects remain the ones where she can unleash her creativity and employ her knowledge.
Prior to her time with the ANA•LITK, she earned a Master of Fine Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design from Towson University. She also attended Eastern Mennonite University and took cross-registered courses from James Madison University to earn her BFA in Fine and Studio Arts.
Her background in the design realm of marketing and advertising allows her to bring a strategic perspective to each project. Whether building a brand’s visual identity, campaign branding, or concepts for the web, she views projects through the lens of marketing, not just decoration.
“I’m looking forward to working with new clients and new projects,” Sugako said, “it’s an opportunity to grow.”
Sugako’s presence within the company has been invaluable to the entire design department as all younger designers are guided and trained by her.
Congratulations to Sugako for 10 years with ANA•LITK. We look forward to many more years!
